Window, Door, Blind & Screen Repair in Mount Prospect, IL

By Vlad Kuleshov, Lead Technician & Founder at Capahome LLC • Updated September 2026

Mount Prospect is filled with classic brick ranches, multi-story colonials, and established family homes near Northwest Highway and Prospect High School. Like many Northwest Chicago suburbs, homes here face freezing winters, humid summers, and strong windstorms that put continuous stress on exterior window and door assemblies. Over time, window balances break, casement window handles spin freely without catching, and sliding patio doors become nearly impossible to move.

Instead of enduring aggressive sales presentations for costly whole-window replacements, Mount Prospect homeowners rely on Capahome LLC for practical, honest, and affordable component repairs.

Everyday Repairs We Handle in Mount Prospect

• Patio Door Roller Replacement & Track Capping: Worn steel rollers can grind flat and dig deep grooves into your threshold track. We install heavy-duty tandem stainless steel rollers and fit durable stainless steel caps over damaged tracks, restoring smooth gliding without replacing the entire door frame.
• Broken Window Sash Balances: When double-hung windows fall shut unexpectedly, internal spring balances or sash cords have failed. We install new commercial-grade spiral or block-and-tackle balances tensioned specifically to your window’s weight.
• Foggy Insulated Glass Unit Replacement: When thermal seals fail, trapped moisture creates permanent condensation between the panes. We measure your window precisely, fabricate an insulated replacement glass unit with Low-E coating, and install it cleanly in under an hour.
• Window Screen & Blind Restringing: We rescreen torn window and patio door frames on site with heavy-duty mesh, and repair broken lift cords and tilt mechanisms on wood and faux-wood blinds.
